To our dear benefactors, supporters, volunteers, & friends:
As the year 2009 draws to a close we really don't know how to begin to thank all the persons and organizations that have touched in some way our Foundation. It is hard to believe our CJ has been gone now almost 7 years but this great worthy Foundation has kept his memory and spirit alive for us.
The year began with a "re do" of our website courtesy of the folks at LT-Webdesign.com. They did a great job and we thank them for their time and effort at no cost to the foundation!
Our 5th annual golf tournament was another smashing success with 108 golfers participating despite the weather and difficult economic times. We are truly blessed to have such a loyal following for this event. Special thanks to all the staff at the Traditions golf course who do such a great job in providing us with a beautifully kept golf course and the clubhouse where we enjoy our dinner celebration following golf.
Proceeds from the tournament together with personal donations totaled close to $12,000.00.
The Foundation continues to give back to the community. We have now funded over $21,000.00 to the Xavier High School performing arts scholarship in CJ’s memory. Other recipients in 2009 included the Wallingford YMCA Strong Kids Campaign, Wallingford Little League, Wallingford Junior Football, Wallingford Wishing Well, Holy Trinity School, Project Graduation, Meriden Children First, and Holiday For Giving. We look forward to being able to make a difference to some of these and other organizations in 2010.
Please click and enjoy the Holiday Card (another LT-Webdesign.com product) as we all celebrate the Christmas and New Year’s Holidays. We wish your families a safe season as we all travel over the next several weeks to be with family and friends.
We ask you to watch for our Save the Date postcard in 2010 announcing the golf tournament date for May 21, 2010. See you then.
We truly appreciate any contact (email, phone, or letter) from all of you to share any ideas/suggestions for the upcoming tournament.
God Bless you All, Chris & Lisa
